The major duties of this position include:
The RN is required to meet the physical standards as outlined on the OF 178 Certificate of Medical Examination. The position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. The position requires long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing. Transferring Veterans and objects may be required. Staff may be required to don protective equipment in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures. They may also be exposed to Veterans who are combative, secondary to delirium, dementia or psychiatric disorders. Must complete annual Employee Health requirements, such as screening or testing, as a condition of employment.
